Dawson began with a workbench.
In 1974, goldsmith and diamond mounter John Dawson established his workshop in a building at the bottom of his garden. He restored antique jewellery and made pieces by hand, building a reputation on craftsmanship, knowledge and an appreciation for beautiful things.
In 1976 he opened a shop in Stamford. Alongside the jewellery came antique furniture, fine art, antique silver, clocks and decorative objects — the beginning of a combination that has defined Dawson ever since.
Over the decades that followed, Dawson became associated with jewellery, antique and estate pieces, silver, furniture, clocks and interesting objects sourced from Britain and Europe.

The Beginning
