A jeweller repairing a ring at the workbench

Repairs & Restoration

Pieces worth keeping
deserve looking after.

Work is carried out at our own bench, by people who know how the piece was made in the first place.

  • Gold jewellery repairs

Claw rebuilding, shank replacement, soldering and re-tipping.

  • Silver jewellery repairs

Clasps, catches, hinges and sympathetic re-finishing.

  • Ring sizing

Up or down, within what the piece will safely allow.

  • Cleaning

Careful cleaning appropriate to the stones — no ultrasonic on fragile settings.

  • Pearl restringing

Knotted on silk, with the original clasp checked and repaired.

  • Bead restringing

    Including graduated and heavier strands.

  • Selected silverware repairs

    Assessed case by case.

  • Restoration enquiries

Antique pieces restored to be worn rather than made to look new.
